Stover Hidden Door Bookcase

This study, located in Fredericksburg, VA, is newly outfitted with floor to ceiling oak bookshelves, fixed adjustable shelves, file cabinet drawers, and two-centerpiece cut out locations for art to be displayed. From first glance it looks like bookshelves encapsulating a pristine study, but upon closer look something much more unique lingers behind a single blue book.

In collaboration with the customer, we were able to create a hidden bookcase door. Pulling on a blue book reveals an opening to a hallway. The door is seamlessly hidden in the corner, disguising itself as an ordinary oak bookshelf.

Why You Need It

Hidden Doors can enhance the value and appeal of your home through their niche and unique features, often times attracting buyers in a competitive market. The bookshelf door is versatile, serving as a spot for storage and functionality for space, while also being aesthetically pleasing, with a sleek, sophisticated, and modern design creating an additional architectural element.

To note, people also enjoy the security that comes with a hidden door element, often times, concealing panic rooms or office spaces. For this project, we were able to completely enclose a study, creating an elegant and distinctive space, unlike anything you would find in an ordinary home.
